Kyma Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of advanced wide bandgap semiconductor materials technologies, has teamed with Air Force Research Laboratory's Sensors Directorate and Northrop Grumman SYNOPTICS on a paper on gallium oxide materials technology to be presented next week at the 32nd International Conference on Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (CS ManTech).
Crystalline gallium oxide (Ga2O3) is an exciting new material with a wide and direct bandgap and other properties including the ability to be grown by conventional liquid phase techniques that together give it great promise to support a number of next generation electronic and optoelectronic device applications. Research and development activities investigating the materials and device properties of Ga2O3 are on the rise worldwide.
The CS ManTech Conference brings together compound semiconductor professionals from around the world to share information, to exchange ideas, and to establish ties within the compound semiconductor community. Founded in 1986 as the US Conference on GaAs Manufacturing Technology, the conference was renamed in 2000 to reflect the increasing diversity of compound semiconductor materials systems and associated device technologies featured at the conference. That trend continues this year with the inclusion of three (3) talks on crystalline gallium oxide (Ga2O3) materials and devices in the "Emerging Technologies" Session which will be held on Thursday May 25th.
One of the 3 conference papers on Ga2O3 technology is led by Kyma and is entitled "Development of Homoepitaxial Growth of β-Ga2O3 by Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy." Jacob Leach, Kyma's Chief Science Officer is the paper's lead author and several colleagues at Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate (AFRL/RY) and Northrop-Grumman SYNOPTICS are coauthors. A manuscript for this paper will become available after the conference takes place - contact info@kymatech.com if you would like to receive a copy.
The 32nd CS ManTech Conference will take place from May 22nd to May 25, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California. CS ManTech is a not-for-profit organization whose focus is to provide a forum for members of the compound semiconductor community to exchange and discuss new ideas to better serve the public in general. The CS ManTech Conference brings together compound semiconductor professionals from around the world to share information, to exchange ideas, and to establish ties within the community.
