Kyma Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced materials solutions that promote safety and energy efficiency, is pleased to call attention to the upcoming open member meeting of the US Power Electronics Industry Collaborative (PEIC).
The Power Electronics Industry Collaborative (PEIC) will hold their annual in-person Member Meeting at HRL Laboratories in Malibu, California on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 1:00 - 5:30 p.m.
The PEIC is a national, industry-driven, membership-based consortium comprised of OEMs, suppliers, researchers, and other stakeholders working to advance the power electronics industry in the U.S. The PEIC’s vision is to position the U.S. as a global center of power electronics research, design, and manufacturing.
The Member Meeting is open to both prospective and current PEIC members. Invited speakers will include Rao Surampudi of Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Laura Marlino of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Each speaker will provide their insight on the state of the industry and growth opportunities in power electronics. Additionally, PEIC member organization, NextEnergy, will present on industry supply chain research gathered through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Advanced Manufacturing Technology Consortia (AMTech) project.
Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to network with others in the power electronics industry, receive a first-hand look at preliminary industry supply chain research, and learn about opportunities to engage with the PEIC.
Keith Evans, who is the current president of PEIC and also president and CEO of Kyma Technologies, stated, "The open PEIC member meeting is a great opportunity to network and brainstorm how the US can accelerate its move to gain importance in this critically important technological field. Please come out and get to know us and how PEIC might bring important new opportunities to your organization."
Evans added, "We are very thankful to Karim Boutros and others at HRL for hosting this event."
All participants must RSVP by Thursday, October 23, 2014. For additional information about the meeting or to RSVP please contact Ashley Hale at ashley@kbsincorporated.com.
